b.y.o.s. Music Edition: a (REMOTE) stitch-along RETREAT

Do you love a particular song? Is there a hymn that is especially meaningful to you? Is there a band or artist that you love to experience at live performances and are even willing to travel for? Can you mark your life by the artists that you sang along with during key turning points? Do you just love any and all music and how it can enrich your life? Jen and Amy are hosting another (REMOTE) stitch-along RETREAT – this time featuring music that is meaningful to you.

The Music Edition RETREAT KIT is a one-of-a-kind creative kit, full of materials curated specifically for our Music Edition Stitched Collage. Amy and Jen will thoughtfully package each kit, including almost** everything you need to complete the projects, and will send it right to your door. This musical kit will include a 14 x 14 quilt square from a vintage quilt, which will serve as the base for your project, as well as curated perle cotton threads, hand-dyed wools, beads, & other special materials.

**Please note: Bring your own scissors (b.y.o.s.), but otherwise, everything you need is included.  Feel free to bring along your personal stitch kit or any other favorite tools or supplies, but none are required.

The LIVE Retreat will be lots of time with Amy, Jen, and other creative new friends!

*4 live sessions on zoom from our home studios over the course of the weekend, which will include instructional time, as well as stitching time. We will give you all the tips and tricks you need for creating your own custom stitched piece. One additional live session on zoom will be scheduled post-retreat. It will be on a weeknight in early March to conclude our time stitching together.

Our main project will be the creation of a stitched collage to gather all sorts of treasured and musical memorabilia into a slow stitching project that you can display & enjoy for years to come!

There will be some prep work you will need to do ahead of time so that you can begin the retreat ready to start your project. We will guide you through this with a pdf and we will be available for questions.

Together, Jen and Amy will show you how to layer fabrics, create custom hand cut stamps, and of course, give you oodles of tips & tricks for slow stitching your own custom stitched collage.

This is the perfect weekend to gather your girlfriends and create your own in-person retreat experience with food and drinks or simply carve out a day for yourself and join us online to retreat from all over the country.

*Each attendee will need their own retreat box to be able to create along with us.
