About the Event
As a textile artist for the day, you will create a beautiful, imperfect, and unique donut, using vintage sheets, felted wool, fabric, and thread as the medium. We’ll focus on learning three types of knots and adding beads. No two donuts will look the same!
These supplies will be included in your kit – a square of vintage bedsheet fabric (approx. 7”x7”), light brown fabric cut in the shape of a donut, felted wool cut in the shape of icing, embroidery floss, needle, beads, adhesive, 6" embroidery hoop. You will need to provide your own scissors. You will be given choices after registration on colors (first registered will have the most choices).
You’ll finish with a "plated donut," which looks ready to eat. Sign up with a friend or come by yourself, ready to make new friends!
Class size is limited to 6 participants and the cost is $50. I hope you’ll join me (virtually) for a morning of imperfectly beautiful stitching!
