Starter Stitches - Topeka 7-9p

Modern embroidery is different from your granny's cross stitch and it doesn't involve the back of your work being neat! Join me to learn six basic embroidery stitches and the fun of the new "rules" of embroidery. You'll also learn a few variations that can be applied to most stitches to make them altogether new. 

A kit for this class is optional, but you will need to request it three days ahead. The kit includes fabric, embroidery floss, needles, needle threader, and hoop, and is available for $10. 

If bringing your own supplies, at minimum you will need to have a piece of cotton and a needle you can thread, along with some embroidery floss. If you would like to bring a hoop, it should be five or six inches in diameter. 

Scissors will be available for use, or you can bring your own. Please remember your reading glasses if needed.
